A world where knowledge creates power for the many, not the few.
OK Somalia is a local chapter of Open Knowledge International, a non-profit organization that advocates for the use of open data to solve social problems. OK Somalia was founded by a group of technology enthusiasts who are passionate about open data, semantic web, and open science. We work to promote open data through community engagement, awareness campaigns, and training. Our goal is to help people understand open data and use it to improve their lives. We believe that open data has the potential to make a positive impact on the lives of people in Somalia.
We provide training and education to government officials, researchers, academics, journalists, and citizens on how to use data effectively. We offer both online and in-person workshops that focus on hands-on learning. Our goal is to help people understand the value of data and to develop the skills they need to use it to solve problems and make informed decisions.
We offer a range of services, including: - Data assessment and remediation - Data governance consulting - Data ethics training - Data privacy training - Open data policy development and implementation - Open data training and capacity building
